The phenomenology of the mind should take the place of psychological explanations or abstract discussions about the foundation of knowledge. It looks at the preparation for science from a point of view, making it a new, interesting, and the first science of philosophy. It embraces the various forms of the mind as stations of the path through which it becomes pure knowledge or absolute spirit. It is therefore considered in the main departments of this science, which again disintegrate into several, the consciousness, the self-consciousness, the observing and acting reason, the mind itself, as a moral, educated and moral spirit, and finally as more religious in its different forms. The richness of the appearances of the mind, which presents itself to the first glance as chaos, is brought into a scientific order, which presents them according to their necessity, in which the imperfect dissolve and pass into higher ones, which are their next truth. They find the ultimate truth first in religion, and then in science, as the result of the whole.
